Hello:<br />My Mercury 650 doesn't shift confidently into reverse. It often either "pops" out of reverse or just grinds and refuses to engage. Going forward is fine and shifting into neutral is no problem. I don't think the remote shift mechanism is at fault. Is there a way to increase the "throw" of the shifting spindle so that I can get a more positive shift into reverse? <br />Thanks in advance. Dave Cooke, Victoria, Canada
