74 Mercury 850 engine cover

My 1974 Mercury 850 is missing the cover that wraps around the engine. I have the top cover and the front plate. I am having a problem finding a new cover. It doesn't look hard to fabricate one out of sheet metal. Has anyone done this? Hopefully it will work until I can locate the correct cover.

Whole cowling sets turn up on eBay all the time. I pretty much stick to smaller 2 & 4 cylinder motors and I have a stack of cowls hanging over a rafter in the barn, so I'm sure someone who works on the larger 4-cylinder motors is bound to have a similar stack with one for your motor...<br />- Scott
