The part that is broken on your block is the exhaust filler block. These always came factory installed on the bubble back engines. They are not shown on any parts diagrams for these early crossflows. Considered part of the factory block. You have a couple of ways to go: find an old junk block and buy it for the parts. The later 115 crossflow bubble backs parts lists do show a filler block kit which can be purchased. I'm not sure if it retrofits to these early 135's or not. The later kit is part number: 392000. The kit is a Bombardier special order, about $187. You should call the factory to see if these will work on your engine: 847-689-7090. Keep in mind that once you install a new filler block, that a machine shop has to mill (deck) the back of the block to make it completely flat to match the inner exhaust manifold.

thanks for the info ............. im not sure what im going to do now. im either going to run it the way it is ... or just be done fooling with it and move on completely. im deff not tearing the engine down to go to the machne shop for milling .... if i do that i might as well do a complete rebuild..... time to think a little bit ... thanks again, scott

If the filler blocks are missing on a cross V-4 you have a chance of burning a piston. Your choice.
