I can't believe it I've been working all over the country, come home to raise the transom jack I've got, and drop my outboard 3 feet. It landed right on a starter motor bolt head and the feul pump. Chipped the prop too but I can live with that. What I can't live with is the way it runs now. It starts just fine as always but runs really rough now. I only tried it about 4 times then gave up. It kicks like one cylinder fires then the other two don't and dies. Not suddenly though kinda gently if that makes any sense. Did I do some serious mechanical damage or could it be an ignition thing? Gah!!!!!
Thanks for your interest. On closer inspection I noticed some cracks on the electronic module thingy right next to the starter oops!!!
Hope it's just electrical!

Check that some of the wires haven't become broken around the switchbox and check the plug leads. Also, that the distributer cap hasn't been cracked. It sounds more like something external has been hurt by the impact rather than serious internal breakage.
