I recently moved from wisconsin at 1400 feet elevation to show low az at 6000 feet elevation. I an sure I need to rejet my carb but don't knw by how much. I dropped about 8 mph and when i idle the cylinders load up and it sputters when i hit the throttle for a bit until it clears. Any ideas on proper jet size for this elevation?

Re: 75 evinrude 115 elevation change

I'm quoting from Clymer, the elevation orifice chart:
1975, 115HP
Sea Level 67C
3000 to 6000 ft 65C
6000 to 10000 ft 63C

Hope that helps some, I don't know what the numbers mean personally, but there is a difference.

I've been looking a lit online and am having some trouble locating jets. Any ideas?

www.ishopmarine.com has exploded views, it's nice to be able to look. you're probably gonna have to get ahold of local BRP dealer, they probably encounter this alot

Dealer is about the only place to get these...Go to 65C's on the mains and you may have to lean the Idle circut slightly at 6000ft.
Check max timing to verify it's current position and advance about 2 degrees above max. Just remember to back off the timing if you drop below about 3500ft.

Re: 75 evinrude 115 elevation change

I made the change to the high speed jets and switched to a 15 pitch prop and the higher end is great. I still get a really bad bog if i sit for 10-15 seconds and then push the throttle like the cylinders are loading up. I can clear it with the warm up lever but it takes about 10 seconds to clear. Do i have to switch the smaller jets above the high speed jets or is there an adjustment I can make?
