I have a' 75 Evinrude 6hp 6504r. The factory parts manual calls for an OMC #277181 impeller. Sierra part #18-3001 is supposed to interchange. I have ordered Sierra impeller from two different vendors (first time thought wrong part had been sent), both Sierra impeller inside diameters are apprx. .555". The inside diameter of the one from my motor is .441". The Sierra's are just too big for the driveshaft. Not sure what next step is. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance for your input.

Add a zero to the front of the part# and search for

Part# 0277181

And you should find 1 available online as a BRP part, not Sierra.

Some of these on line vendors do not know if they have the wrong part in their hands.----Will ship because that is what came out of the bin.------Your local dealer can help.

Who are those Sierra vendors you are buying from? If one of them is iboats, give them a call and tell them you are getting the wrong part. Otherwise, buy from iboats in the first place.

Seriously, the correct part number is BRP/OMC 0434424 (replaces 277181). The correct Sierra number is 18-3001. Perhaps somebody at Sierra is mis-labeling them. But I assure you, 18-3001 is the correct number.
