75 Merc 4.5hp part identification

Can someone tell me what this lever is for. The label says something about trolling I think. Here is a pic for yall.

Flip the troll lever and pull the motor up. It holds it up at a slight angle which gives it less bite in the water so you can troll slower. It's just trims the motor up.
