75hp Bogs Down at Acceloration?

My 1984 75hp Johnson bogs down when I hit the accelerator quick from idle. I can ease up and get to plane but if I go try to give her too much gas too fast it dies. Had carb overhaul and new plugs about 2 months ago... Any ideas? Thanks!

Sounds like they missed something on that carb overhaul, like something in one of the jets.

That’s what I was afraid of. I can hear my mechanic now… “Must have been something in your fuel.”
