Hello. I've been lurking around the forum for a few weeks and have read about everything I can on a couple of problems with my 1992 Mariner 75. The boat hadn't been in the water since 1996 and when I put it in the lake last week the injector oil reservoir sensor had gone bad and the alarm was beep-beep-beeping constantly. I verified by removing the sensor from the bottom of the tank. The other problem was a lack of acceleration. I also replaced the water pump impeller kit and it works well again, I finished cleaning the carbs today (they didn't seem to be too bad) and my next step is to try the lake again, but I didn't want to do that until I knew whether leaving the sensor out of the oil tank would affect the oil injection system. Can anyone help me here? Thanks.

AZO,
I don't think takeing the sensor out will change the way the system works, but if the system doesn't work you wont know it and your motor will be history. I had problems with oil horns and thought my pump was working fine but I didn't want to take a chance so I pluged the system (20 bucks) and now I premix. Better safe than sorry! Good luck!
CU
