I'm looking to convert a 1961 75hp from a long shaft motor to a short shaft motor. Does anyone know if I'll be able to use the shaft from a 35hp for this purpose. I ask because I have access to the shorter shaft from a 35hp. Otherwise I'll have to start looking again. Are the shafts the same or compatible? Thanks in advance.
