Re: 75hp Sears

I called Sears and got them to look in their archives they think this motor is a 1976 Shakespeare Wonder Troll 75 hp. Has anyone ever heard of this manufacture. On the flywheel it reads Wico Ignition Division,Globe Union Inc.,West Springfield, Mass. USA,US patent# 2756356-2975312. Any info would be helpful in tracking down a manuel. Thanks Brad

Re: 75hp Sears

Are you sure you have the model number right? If it is a 75hp, it's certainly not a Shakespeare electric trolling motor.

Actually, it's certain that your motor is a McCulloch. All the 574 prefix motors are McCulloch.

574-60710 is a 1961 Long Shaft Electric Start 75 hp model, manufactured by McCulloch. It should show an Elgin brand name.

All of Sears' 75 hp motors were McCullochs, and all with the 574 prefix were McCullochs.

So, check your model number once more.

By the way, you can research Sears outboards at discount-marine-parts.com, where I got the information above.
