Ok so my carb kit is supposed to be in tomorrow.Trying to get a jump on things. What is the best way to install the needle valve seat? Can it be put in backwards?
Thanks

They only go in one way. There is a flange. I use a wood chisel to get them out.. If you have a very wide slot screwdriver then use that. I found my widest screwdriver was just enough but the chisel works well.

I called it a needle seat, bc actuallly it seats the low speed needle. Sry for the confusion.

I just use the needle to seat the bearing. I do not know if that's correct but it worked for me. BYW The narrow end goes in first.

76 Evinrude 15hp slow speed needle bearing

Ok I posted yesterday, but didn’t clarify the correct parts . Is there a specific way to put in the plastic needle bearing? Can you put it in backwards? Thx

Small end goes in first. Just like your needle.
It should fit like a cup over the end of your needle (if that makes sense :)) (refer to Post #8 and photo).
