2 questions

First..What is the gas/oil mix ratio?

Second...The motor will start fine on the water but as soon as you try to put it in foward or reverse it will cut out and die. If you hit the choke just before it dies it will accelerate fine. After you get moving the motor runs great. Please Help!

okie2301,

The mixture is 50:1 (one pint TCW-3 rated oil with six gallons of 87 octane rated fuel). Premium is not necessary.

Your carburetors may need work. Also, the synch. and link adjustment may need to be made. I wouldn't try a carb rebuild or synch and link without a manual. Manuals are availbale at the bottom of this page. It will be the best $35.00 you ever spent.

Your local library may have one that you can have a look at.
