Working on a friend's 35hp outboard.
When he got it, it did not run.

The first thing I checked for was spark, and there was none.

The engine was not grounding out through the harnes because I disconected it.

We pulled the fly wheel and changes the points and condensers.

After we put it back together we tested for spark and it was working again.

Commenced trying to start it and later found that we once again had no spark.

Any ideas? do you think we blew the condensers?

Got spark back.
I think its a loose wire or a shorting wire.
Not fixed yet, but it ran.
