GOOD NEWS. . . . The PICTURE UPLOAD FUNCTION IS WORKING !!! The tech folks at the parent company have been able to remedy the issue. You can upload pictures once again. Thank you for your patience.
I have a 77 Johnson 35HP that is getting water into the top cylinder.
I have checked head gasket, exhaust gasket both did not look compromised.
do not see any cracks in head or cylinder wall/water jacket.
Any help appreciated
Hopefully you resurfaced your cylinder head.------Yes it was warped !---They all are after year of service.----Piece of emery cloth and glass plate does the trick.
Not in my estimation but im often surprised.
Sometimes its a tiny leak in the gasket that i never find. Defiitely plane it on a mirror, glass covered in light sandpaper
I have thought about rebuilding complete but hate to do it if block is cracked and i can't see it.
It was sitting in weeds for about 6 years before I got it.
Did run when parked but perhaps other seals have dried out
