Have a 70 horse that starts right up idles fine. Will run about 10 mph then when you accelerate any further it dies.I have had the carbs over hauled minus floats,changed fuel lines,have 9lbs fuel pressure, changed plugs.Any ideas.
Have you discussed this with the mechanic where you took it for the carb rebuild? He should've test run it in the tank before he gave it back to you.
What's the compression on this motor?
Did you link & sync after the carb rebuild?
Sounds like the carb throttles are opening before the spark has advanced -- make sure the timer base is not sticking.
