78 75hp lower unit lube

What oil do I buy for servicing the lower unit on a 78 75843c motor? The guys at the local shops are being tight lipped about what to use.

Did you go to a BRP dealer (Johnson/Evinrude)?

I guess they are the service center just local shops.

Standard high viscosity marine outboard gear oil. A lot of people are using the 100% synthetic.
