Bought this unit for $100.
Had good spark and good compression.
Needed a carb clean.
Pulled the flywheel to clean and check points before selling and I was greeted by a Nova II ignition module, no points and condenser.

I don't know much about them. I did some quick searches and seems as though most posts are from people thinking about installing them, with most replies asking why.

I have new points and condensers going in a '53 lightwin I am fixing up and restoring, was thinking I could take a point and condenser from that motor or the parts motor I have for that project and convert it back...

Since I plan on just making sure it runs well and then selling, any comments?

If it has good spark now I don't see any reason to change it back.

When they do work they are an improvement. Easier starting smoother lower idling and quick smooth high throttle

Thanks for the replies.
She fired right up yesterday.
Good idle and good high speed.
I'll just leave it alone.

Thanks.
