78 Hydra sport 17.8 front trolling motor cover help

Well new to the site and I just bought a 1978 hydra sport 17.8 bass boat 150hp Mercury and in need of a front trolling motor cover and don't know what I am looking for as I cant find any pics of what it even looks like can anyone plz help me thanks in advance. Mich

The info I am hoping to find is on the front of the boat theres a foot operated trolling motor and I dont know what model it came with stock as the cover that covers the top of the trolling motor cover is missing so I can see wires and a small gear on top and need to know what kind it is or what it looks like to find a cover for it .Really any info on this boat would help and appreciated .the hull ID is HSX7361VM78K and all I know from this number is it a 1978.Hydra Sport 17.8 brown/gold bass boat..

Ayuh,..... Ya gotta Id the trollin' motor itself,...

I truly doubt it came on the boat from the factory,....
I don't think foot controlled trollin' motors had been invented in 1978,...

Do you think if I put a pic up someone will know the model it might be and the control panel is built into the boat. I was reading and looks like the Hydra sport was a liked boat in that year and some on here have them too..I just dont know who they are maybe I can contact them for some help hopefully someone who knows these boats will help.
