when I give my throttle gas to take off, it hesitates and dies down or out, unless you use the electric choke, then it picks up its speed and will go on. At full speed, it runs great. We've had new kits put in the carburetors and cleaned and serviced, but we've still got the same problem. We bought the boat used and it has done this ever since we've had it. we had the carbs cleaned about 2 yrs. ago. we've owned the boat about 4 yrs. Has anyone else had this problem and did they get it corrected. If so, what happened?

Welcome to iboats.com.

It sounds like a classic fuel-delivery problem.
So look for air leaks anyplace on the fuel hose, inline filters, primer bulb, carb. Make sure the carbs are tight to the intake flange. check the engine's compression, as the fuel pump uses compression to operate. Check the condition of the plugs, and which cylinder they came from. They will tell you volumes.
I may be wrong, but these things should be the first things to check.
