78 rude wont start

I have 78 'rude 115.it has been sitting for year and half.Put fresh battery everything fine except when I turn ignitin key I hear clicking noise from starter area. Is it bad starter?

Bad starter?? Not likely, it's to soon to tell. Be sure you check all connections at solenoid and at the starter. Corrosion on terminal ends won't pass enough current to effectively spin the starter motor. Do the cleaning first then give it a try.

As you reattach the connections after cleaning them smear with a bit of diaelectric grease - can get at an auto parts store.
