Hey all , Im new to the forum, Have been on the water for 40 or so years. I picked up a 78 terry 4.7 m long horn for a song and it's a clean little boat. It has the org 900 merc and with a new triger swt. and carb work it runs sweet. ( Im a ASE master mech ) so no prob on the work. I would like to get your opp. from other owners. Im running a 19-21 prog SS , at wot 4900 rpm I have gotten 41 mph with normal load. Spec. on the 900 is wot 45 to 5 k so prop is on. So is the boat speed on par with this hull ? Thanks all
Kevin
PS and the hull wont take much trim till it starts to porpus no jack plate
Thanks again

Welcome to iboats. Be patient. This is not a chat room. It's possible that no other owners have popped in in the last 4 hours.

Welcome to iboats!

Your top speed sounds about right.

Some trim tabs or Smart Tabs should help with the porpoising.
