So I'm looking for opinions for this boat that was left to me.. Long story.. Do u think it's worth messin with. Motor has good compression but lots of rot in floor.. Price was free.. I'm pretty good with motors and dad is great with wood.. However I know little about this age of boat. Thanks. Now how do I add pics?

For what it's worth the trailer looks to be in good condition.. It has brakes and little rust.. I just do not want to jump off in this boat then find out they are crap.. Any advise will be appreciated.. Thanks.. Jake

I def looks to be in pretty rough shape. I mean, of course it can be done, but it's up to YOU to make the call if it's worth it or not to you. Have somebody go completely through the motor and hull and you'll have yourself a nice boat. You're def going to need to pull up the floor and check out the stringers and stuff. If you're really interested in the boat then it would without a doubt make a good winter project for you and your dad.

Also keep in mind you're going to end up dropping some pretty good money into the hull and interior from the looks of first picture IMO. Walk around the boat and see if there's any soft spots on the floor.

A grand in the floor. At least 2 grand in the interior if you hire it out. If the engine and outdrive can be fixed for the price of parts, maybe not too expensive, but OMC isn't in business anymore and I know the parts aren't as cheap as they used to be. Then battery, wiring issues, tag, registration. I would assume you'll put 4-5,000 dollars into it.

i guess first thing first is I will see if i can get the thing to crank...If the motor is good then it would be a good plus.. the outdrive says V6 on it but from whay im finding out they used this drive on everything up to 350 small block... Does anybody know where i can get some more info on the motor.. ???

In my opinion, a rotted out boat with an OMC Stringer is not a worthwhile project. Part the thing out.
