79 checkmate carb won't idle

I picked up 20ft 200hp checkmate.really nice.well it wants to quit when rims go below 3000rpms.this carb has all kinds vacums.plugged off most them.i went to junk yard.only q jet I could find was electric one.the only quadrajet there.well it runs good with it idles good.i just wanted to see if motor was good. I want to use original carb.i need vacum diagram.i adjusted the air screws the same.still won't idle.carb revs good.when I try to start it it starts then quits.any ideas? I'm not gonna rebuild a qjet.but would like to figure it out without buying a new one.i run numbers on carb it says 80model. Numbers are. 17080213
