While going through and replacing the deck/carpet on my 81 Kayot pontoon boat, I thought I would replace wiring. The worst is the tilt/trim wiring. The 3 wire cable comes out of the top of the tilt/trim motor but while inspecting it at the motor and taking the top plate off the motor, the brushes basically fell out. I may be able to get them back in but was wondering if just replacing the motor would be the best way to do this. The outboard is an Evinrude model 75943R. Not sure what motor for the tilt/trim would be correct. I am new with boats but not new to mechanics. Any tips would be appreciated.

Thank you for the response. I looked at the tilt motors you suggested and they do not look like what I have.
