Hello, I own a 79 galaxy with a mercruiser 470 I/O.
I haven't started her in 2 years <baby ;) > and am now trying to get her fired up. however i have a problem.

The motor is cranking over good and solid, I'm gettin gpower to the voltage regulator and the Ignition coil. however. no start :(

I tested the cable out of the coil and found that it has no spark. I go and purchase a new ignion coil. and i'm still not getting spark. So i'm a bit confused.

There was a bit of condensation in the engine compartment. but that was a week ago. I never tryed to start it then.

and ideas would be helpful

points/condensor. kill switch, shift interupter switch, and/or neutral start switch grounding coil. if the gas is 2 years old, it still might not start even with spark. gas stabilizer might be good to add. have a voltmeter? check volts at coil + terminal.

I would also make sure the points are opening and not stuck closed as this will also cause a no spark from the coil. ;)
