ok so i know that some of you guys are a little disappointed with me for ruining my 79 starcraft ss........SORRY. I tried selling it scrapping it and i just couldnt.....SO...I decided to work on it and see what i can come up with for this particular starcraft.
Just a few questions;

Zinc Chromate has been hard for me to get my hands on.... I can get rattle spray cans all day long but painting my 18 ft boat with those would take all day long......Is it available by the quart and gallon?? and how much do i need for my vessel, for a 5 ml coat?

I have a Phosphoric "prep and etch" wash for aluminum...is this ok to use?

do i have to order gluvit online or do they carry it at corporate stores?

Ill be needing transom corner brackets....where can i find theese?????

Think I can help a little. I would get the inside ready to finish, washing, cleaning etc. Then flip it and paint hull. Then go back to interior.

Gluvit is probably available at larger marine stores bur I got mine on line. Depending on your style you would probably get by with 1 "quart" size. I would not mix it all at once, in the higher temps it will cure fast (45 min?). Do half then half.

Can't help with volume of primer nor phosphoric wash. Keep us posted with pics.

Oh yeah, thanks for saving another SC and welcome to the Starmada.

Great decision to try and keep it alive! You can get more zinc Chromate in gallons by shopping aircraft parts distributors. Aircraft Spruce and Speciality is one of my favorites. I personally got 2 gallons of Gluvit because I plan on sealing it really good once!
