I posted a question earlier about the float spring holding the float open or closed. My thought is the float should be held open and when gas comes into the bowl when it was full the float would close allowing the needle to close the gas off. Then slowly open as gas was used allowing more gas to enter. I know every outboard carb i have ever taken apart the float hangs down and closes the needle as the bowl fills with gas. One gentleman wrote me and said the spring pressure should hold it closed. Another gentleman wrote me and said the spring tension should hold it open.Holding it open makes more sense to me allowing the bowl to fill and slowly closing the needle as it fills. Can anyone help me out here and tell me which gentleman was right. Thanks very much. This motor is a model#KTV50576A, K751,
John
