Just purchased a 1995 90 Mariner that has been sitting for about two years. I have pulled the carbs and cleaned as per Selco manual. I have put a new switchbox on the engine also. I have good spark at all spark plugs, I have good compression on all three cylinders, and the carbs are clean. I am at a loss, it will not even spit or try to fire. Does anyone have any sugestions???

Try tossing some fuel mixture or WD-40 in the plug holes, to assist. Will it fire then?

yah would suggest spraying premixed gas in the carbs ..and see if it attempts to fire up..

did you pump the fuel ball and does it stay firm? have you checked the fuel pump!?

Re: 80 Mariner Help!!!!!!

Deep Creep spray in the carb while you are spinning the starter. If she lights off chase fuel. If not chase ignition. Just because you are getting it to the plugs doesn't mean that it is at the right time.

Deep creep contains oil and was made for 2 cycle engines as directed. Believe me, if it's a fuel problem she'll light right off with DC.
