81 Johnson 15hp Carb ?

I have an '81 Johnson 15hp. I rebuilt the carb today and didnt mark the air fuel mix valve before I removed it. How far do I turn it out from fully seated? Also I was wondering if I should set the float to parallel with the carb body when its upside down? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks...

Parellel to the carb body is correct and seat the needle gently, 1 1/2 turns out should get you started. Fine tune it from there.
