I just got the foot back on with new foot oil and got the new impellor in and working. Now I trying to fine tune it for the river. Carbs been apart and cleaned and now I want to adjust the low idle knob and was wondering if there were any tips anyone had. My manual only goes to 78 with a 33hp motor but didnt see a carb like mine listed. Thanx in advance.

1.25 turns out from gently seated to start off, and adjust from there at low idle. I find the highest rpm(at low throttle setting), then turn out(rich) until it just starts to lose rpms. Tune it in barrel or lake, as muffs provide no exhaust back pressure, throwing the setting off a bit..
Good luck!

Start it up, let it get warm, then turn the knob either way about an 1/8th to 1/4 of a turn and let the RPMs adjust to the new setting. If it runs worse turn the knob the other way doing the same thing, you will get to a point where it will run well, you may need to adjust the idle RPM's a couple times and do a little more knob twisting. The final adjustment is to give the knob a slight turn to the richer side of the setting. There is no exact setting for the knob, you adjust it until you're happy.

how do I adjust the idle RPMs... I didnt see an adjustment screw or anything on the carb? The manual said 1.25 turns out from seat than another 1.25 and adjust from there but that was a carb with both high/low adjustments. Ive got it close I think but really wanted to be at least 99.5% sure I knew what I was doing....lol
