Hi all,

I've got a V6 150hp... at idle, in forward gear, there is an occassional "clunk". And the motor gives a shake. It doesn't jump like that under load or at speed, or when idling in neutral. Even bumping the rpm up a bit keeps it from doing this.

If the clutch dog is worn, wouldn't it be more likely to slip under load, rather than when there's very little load? Or would the force from the prop up the propshaft tend to push the dog more firmly against the fwd gear?

Thoughts?

Brent
