83 merc 115 H.P. I had a problem with it missing but was told it was the rectifier.I replaced it and it got the boat up on plane for just a few seconds then went to missing again. I removed the hot wire that comes from the stator and it runs fine. It will charge the battery if I hook the wire back up but it misses to much to run at very high rpms. Could it just be a wire shorting out at the stator or what? Please help!!
