I didnt get a reply to my last post. i know what needs to happen, just not sure if its worth it and would like an opinion.
after head gasket failure, sounded and ran great. very shortly, the rod bearing sheared off and the rollers ended up coming through the fuel ports and into the bottom cylinder. I think i need a new crank shaft, piston, rod..the works... and i might need the bottom cylinder bored out.
I need an opinion or five of whether or not its worth to proceed spending some cash to fix it.
I also would like an opinion of how i should handle another head gasket failure next time. I would have never just replaced the gasket if i thought the water had affected the oil/gas lubrication in the crank case. Did i need to tear it apart to avoid this? This was a first and will be an expensive lesson..especially if i have to finance some new power.
