Hello i bought a boat and the guy said the only problem with it was it needed a new alternator so i went out bought a new one put it on and yes wires r hooked up right but still not getting power to the battery and yes the alternator is working and putting out juice. I called the guy i bought it from last night and asked if it ever charage right for him and he said yes befor he changed the ignition then stop working. I look under to see if he hook them up wrong but seems to be right but i did notice i had the key switch on not motor started and the ignition wire going to switch was really hot to touch is this ok and where should i go from here
