Just inherited a 24' pontoon with this motor from wife's father, have no owners manual or repair manual. Model #40ELTO, SN#6E9L503495, 1984 motor. Looking for a source for a factory repair manual. Also, is tank for oil injection inside the cowl? Boat dealer who repaired lights & top does not work on Mariner but put new plugs in and said he filled oil tank. 22 yr. old son picked boat up from repair shop for me and took it over to the marina where we are going to keep it. He ran it a few miles up the river and coming back to the dock it "shut down and wouldn't run above an idle". I went down last night and it cranks but won't start. Any suggestions?
