I had a *** kickin good time last weekend (4th of july) pulling tubes and skiers it ran like a champ no problems (except running out of fuel once). So this weekend I decited to take it out of the harbor in Whittier Alaska. Paid to get through the tunnel(20), paid to launch(20) and paid to park(10) backed in the water..... turned the key....... and it wouldn't start. It would turn the starter but it was like the battery wasn't giving it enough juice so I took my backup battery that had a super charge on it and it did the same thing. I trouble shooted with the normal stuff, tightened the power wire to the starter made sure nothing was loose, cleaned the corrosion off the wires, opened the control box and checked the key ignition wires and still nothing. I could however touch a wrench between the two posts and it would fire the starter so it has to be something in-between the motor and the control box.
Needless to say it ruined my weekend...... it is very rare in Whittier to have that bay be glass and the weather be overcast. Please give me any idea that you would have..... It sounds like something stupid like a loose wire but any info or just a location to start looking would be EXTREMLY helpful.
Thank you in advance!!
