Hello All,

It appears that I have a water leak somewhere in my mid section from the water pump. My pump is new but I still only get about 3 psi when running. I removed the LU and hooked a water hose up to the supply tube to the engine and my pressure gauge went to 10 but there was a lot of water coming out around the supply tube at the top of the midsection.
My book is not clear as to how to remove the exhaust adaptor (piece between the powerhead and midsection). how do I remove this piece once the powerhead has been removed?

Thanks,

Larry

The midsection has to be removed from the motor mounts. Hope your diagnosis is correct. I have doubts.

Hi F_R,

Why doubts?
When I operated the LU while it was off in a drum and operated by a high speed drill the water pump puts out good water and the pressure is good. Where else can it be going?

I have no idea how many psi that thing should have. How did you arrive at a figure? Is it overheating?

I have had a similar issue, and I fix it by placing an O-ring right below the grommet at the water tube,on the water pump, in order to change position in the cooper tube, as it has a little waist there, and was leaking right in that spot. After doing that the water stream was stronger than before. Maybe you have a similar condition.
