Greetings all,
I just bought an 85 proline center console that has an 1985 Evinrude 120HP attached. After getting the motor working I launched it for the first time and low and behold it went NO WHERE. The prop spins freely in nuetral and when in gear (Forward or reverse). I can see the linkage moving and doing it's thing in the engine housing and above the lower unit. I removed the prop, when pushing inwards on the prop shaft it engages in gear, both forward and reverse. Is the a dog clutch issue or a prop shaft issue or something more sinister? Any help would be appreciated. .
