Carbs have been rebuilt with new floats and needles. New stator (on the advice of an outboard mechanic), new trigger, new coils, new plugs and wires. Compression good on all cylinders. All plugs are firing (at least at idle). Timing has been set. Still won't go over 2500rpm under load even though 5 grand in neutral. Ready to throw in the towel. The only thing not replaced in ignition system is the switch box. Could that be the problem?
