Now that i have the new magneto in the boat i can go back to the old problem it has, the choke does not always click, i have a new solinoid in it and have changed ignition switch, when it does not work it shakes a little bit but does not close them, it has 12 volts to the solinoid when it does not work, when the i replaced the solinoid it worked for a week then same thing, i adjusted it and it worked in the yard , well then the magneto went out and that was the least of my problems. it has been working on and off for about 3 years, i never looked into because if i had someone with me we would choke it manualy with the cover off engine, but now i would like to fix it right and be done with this problem.

Try sliding the solenoid up a bit so the cylinder is a bit deeper in the solenoid. Also check wiring from and to solenoid for good connections. A broken wire under the insulation is easy to over look so check really closely.

Thank you i will check the wire again and lube it. I 'll get a small can wd40 and keep it in the boat just in case, because if i am alone its just not fun trying to choke it manualy . again thanks

Make sure the choke hold down bracket or the solenoid itself is not painted. The solenoid housing and bracket needs to be clean and the bolts need to be tight to get a good ground connection.
