???? 85 HP Evinrude Outboard

I have an unknown year 85hp evinrude outboard i can't find serial or model # on motor please help..<br />Also I can't get it to start last year while at the lake it died while shifting.. when trying to restart it pops the little fuse up on the side by the flywheel help?? I can't even turn it over the second you try to start it the fuse goes can anyone help please<br /><br />Thanks <br />Ryan

Just a guess (because we dont know the year) but if the wiring is not shorted, the choke (assuming - I know, I know - its that old) may be. Tell us more about the motor. <br /><br />Good luck!

it ran perfect last year if you know where I can get serial # or id for motor that would be great can't find it anywhere!! the motor has electric choke a switch on control box!!

found out the year is 1974 85hp does that help????
