85 hp force infomation

I have a 1986 85 hp force motor,with bad compression,i found a 1983 85 hp force motor with good compression ..my question is will the 1983 85 hp force motor fit on my 1986 lower half?? will my coils,starter,power packs,flywheel,etc will my parts fit on this motor??

I believe 83-86 were all the same as long as your 86 was an A model. My thought is why wouldn't you just take your lower unit off and put it on the good engine ?
