85 hp mercury won,t start

I have an 85 hp 6 cylinder merc.The dealer tells me it,s somewere between a 65 to 70 model.the motor was running fine exept for a slight fuel leak from the carbs last time it was used around a month ago.Ive checked for spark and it seems a bit weak to me but that is just a guess.Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.

fuel leaking from front of carbs is a sign of a<br />stuck float in the carb....<br />step 1) get a manual for your motor<br />step 2) follow the troubleshooting guide<br />these are great motors IMHO, but do require a fair<br />amount of maintainence.<br />good luck,<br />M.Y.

Thank's M.Y I had a feeling that might be the cause of the fuel leak. I'll try and hunt down a mannual and have a go at it.Thank's again for your suggestions.
