What is the deal on these motors. I bought one a while back on a 17ft bass boat. The motor is extremely strong and does everything well. The manual has no listing for them . I thought it was just a decal job but I have seen a few more of them running around the lake . Mine was a 78 I have since sold it to a friend.(It's still in my boat house)and have been told they were factory hipo's is that true?

Re: 85 javelin

That was about the time that the 75 Stinger was quite popular. That was something of a Hi-Perf 75. Same with your Javelin, it's something of a Hi-Perf 85. I've seen alot more Stingers from quite a few years, but I've only seen a few Javelins. Evinrude's equivalent was the Hustler.
