85 mercruiser 140 Crankshaft pulley removal

hi<br />Does crancshaft pulley comes as one part with the hub or can i separate it during remowal? There is some kind of rubber in between them two wondering if i separate them if ill be able to put them back together ..Is the rubber ring sold separately ?<br /><br />Thanks <br /><br />Dom

No that balancer works as an assembly. The rubber strip is in there no lessen the vibration. Dont take it apart.

hello<br /> and if ya remove the balancer ya just cant whale it back on. you need the tool to do it. remember every blow will be transmited directly to the crank thrust bearing flange.<br /> good luck and keep posting
