85 Stringer 800 and 88 Cobra Lower Unit?

I've got a 1985 800 series OMC sterndrive with a seized up lower unit. Motor is a 200 HP, 5.0 litre. A friend of mine was saying he thought the lower unit of
Cobra, 88 I think would match up. Anyone know if this is the case? The cobra lower unit came from a 3.0 litre V6.

Nope,....

They are 2 Very Different pieces of machinery....

Sir: They are both different. However not one number you posted matched right to the engine or out drive.

There is no 3.0l v6. There is no 200 5.0. And you need another 800 lower.

E-bay has them. Or rebuild the one you have.

Hello, lol, I bought a Sea Ray just to get the OMC Stinger 800 off of it. The engine in it is a Chevy 350 ci. The engine in my Starcraft is a Ford 351W but the outdrive was missing when I bought it. The intermediate unit is there and the sector gear. Now I'm confused??
