86' 60 hp merc carb kit part # verification

Hi all, <br /> Through this board I have been able to diagnose several minor probs with a motor and boat that I had recently bought. <br /> I am at the stage where I am going to rebuild the carbs for bogging and stumbling. ( already did the hoses, tanks, bulb, fuel pump and plugs.) <br /> Problem is, I get different stories from the local shops around here in Longmont, Colorado regarding which parts I need for the carb overhaul or rebuild kits. <br /> The serial number is A964834 and according to the merc website, the model for the motor is 1060716. <br />Also according to the website, I need p/n 1395-8982. The top carb has stamped on it WM-13-1 and the bottom carb has stamped WM-13-3<br /><br />Is this the correct part to rebuild both carbs? Is there any additional info I need to gather? <br />Thanks in advance <br />Brett

Yes-you need two #1395-8982 to do the carbs..they are both the same

Thanks for the reponse, and posting in case anybody seraches for similar information..After calling multiple places I found a place that had two kits ,, the part subbed several times and is now part number 812953.. Oh the price subbed as well,, initially was 31.00 a piece,, now they are 58.30 a piece.. Off tomorrow to pick them up in Brighton. <br />Thanks again,<br />Brett
