So, I've been doing a little research on my carb, which doesn't seem to match the parts diagram. I've also been having a bear of a time trying to get the carb adjustments to go by the book in the link and sync. So I thought a little sleuthing may turn up something.
Here's what I've found so far.
The carb assembly tag (396182 attached to the float) appears to be correct for my year. The carb body doesn't seem to have a listing in the diagram so who knows if that's correct. The number on the carb body reads 331734.
The carb cover (top cap) appears to be very similar to a '92 and later judging by the diagram. But, the part number doesn't match (436316). Two numbers are listed for the '92 carb cover (0336048, and 0436342). I'm guessing the top cover issue is maybe what's causing the link and sync problems since the timing cam changed around that time too.
This is a Belgian made model don't know if it makes a difference or not.
Anyone have a clue what's going on here?
