86 90 HP lower unit

What is the best way to clean a lower unit that has had water intrusion from the prop seal, water and oil have mixed to form that white/grey color liquid. I have drained as much as possible, replaced about 1/4 pint of gear oil spun the prop by hand several times and still have residue. I have also replaced the prop seals.

I would suggest getting some kerosene or diesel fuel and pouring it in there and sloshing it around. It's what I use to clean dirty parts with and it works great. Not sure if it would have any side effects with seals though, but I'd imagine the diesel should at least be safe. Not sure about kerosene.
